Lucky Irish boys

To celebrate St. Patrick's Day I wanted to do two things, make cupcakes and take pictures of them in their first ever matching shirts from etsy. Luck was not with me. Baby A is not happy to sit. Ever. And Baby B decided it was time to eat, not picture take. At least the cupcakes were a hit- we did kid friendly rainbows! Hope you have something great planned for St. Pat's. We hope to get a nap in...

Rainbows for St. Pat's! See the sky, ground, and rainbow? Get it?
Oh well...

Now we are 2- little Benny has a bday

Bennett was two months old last Sunday and about ten pounds!
We all ate cupcakes in honor of his bday.
He gets them eventually, you know... so they weren't chocolate.
Hope you eat some cake to celebrate too this week!

Sometimes pictures annoy me...My friend Beau gave me these numbers to show how BIG I am getting.

Here is Aengy at almost two months- we look like brothers :)

Baby B and a new bedroom in the Old House

Bennett, week three! His weight is on the way up- yay! Still lots of work to do to get him bigger and stronger and ready to play with big brother.
Aengy likes when Daddy reads to him, he also likes to color his books...

We had a great bedroom in our 110 year old home. So Jeff was shocked at the suggestion that it should be turned into a kids' room and that we should move into the study. But our bedroom was the largest room and the huge amount of kids toys, clothes, and more demanded the largest space. So I pushed, and Jeff renovated our messy study into a brand new space for us!  He had to drywall, redo the floors, ceiling, fireplace... it was a huge job- especially with little A under feet to "help". We finally agreed on a seafoamy green paint after much deliberation. Didn't he do a great job? I am really thrilled with the floors and the pretty windows.
Just before we moved in...

Now, the kids' room renovation begins in earnest. Prayers and well wishes appreciated since we need another project right now like we need another project!
We still haven't decided on a color for the walls, I am pulling for this scheme without much luck.

Oh boy, it's a boy (again)

We are excited to be home from the hospital and back to almost normal... Our scheduled c-section was one thing clearly marked on the calendar. But this little love apparently did not get the memo and came early. Really early, both by date and time. When you get up at 1:00 am for a drink of water that's really all the excitement you want. Baby Bennett decided to add some more. Jeff had fallen asleep watching television, but you'd be amazed at the vertical jump I saw when I said my water had just broken. Impressive. And at 4:38 a.m. we were thrilled to hold this little blessing (which is what his name means).

Because he is early we have to take extra precautions and stay in for a while. Luckily we have lots of big brother's clothes, toys, and crib so we are set on some things even though he is here a lot earlier than we planned and prepared for! Thank goodness for Aunt Julie who met us at the hospital and took a sleepy little Aengy home with her.

The first little bundle came in the middle of the night, so I guess we should have expected that! We didn't know the sex of the baby, so we are excited to announce...
It's a boy! Jeff got to announce that as the baby arrived which was really wonderful.
