Adventures in eating real food. Sorta.

We are eating real food now! If by real food you mean cereal mixed with milk and baby food. And if by eating you mean wearing, blowing, and rubbing in your hair. We went to the doctor last week for 6 month shots. We all go as a family so when Mama and Aengy cry at the shots Daddy can be in charge. Our little man is almost twenty pounds! And the doctor scolded us a bit on not trying food more before now, Baby A and mama are happy with milk. As the scale suggested...
We have now tried barley cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, and squash. The sweet potatoes are the biggest hit by far.

We are on twitter now! Hey, if Rick Perry can do it we can, too.
We promise not to tweet any diaper emergencies, unless they are really entertaining. You can follow us

Happy Father's Day, and new shoes

Happy Father's Day to all of the wonderful fathers and grandfathers in our lives.
You are loved.

"A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty." -- Unknown
When a father gives to his son, both laugh; when a son gives to his father, both cry.
~William Shakespeare

“If the new American father feels bewildered and even defeated, let him take comfort from the fact that whatever he does in any fathering situation has a fifty percent chance of being right.”
-Bill Cosby

Of all the animals, the boy is the most unmanageable. ~Plato

It's hard work being a cute little man

It's hard being me, all those demands!
The interrupted moments in the bath...

Mama insists on combing and parting my hair. Even when I am just trying to eat my book in peace.
She even tries to wake me up with that silly camera. (I don't know bad words or I'd call it one).
I can't even snuggle Pooh without her chasing me. Did you notice she made me look like Pooh in this picture? Sigh.
At least my Nanaw Nene helps me take a nap when I need it. Not that I like naps you know.

And Daddy always gives me a hug when I am feeling tired and grumpy (every evening at 8:45).

There's a first time for everything when you're a baby

We tried our first baby cereal today! Barley, on Auntie Julie's advice, instead of rice or oatmeal. In spite of mama's clumsiness and lack of appropriate silverware and bib, we got some inside Baby A.

And if you can't get enough of cereal eating...even more.
